I recently joined the Oklahoma Food Coop so I'm driven to make use of that commitment. I look forward to a summer full of fresh, organic, locally grown veggies! Once I feel my cooking endeavors are worthy of note, I'll disclose some of my creations. In the meantime, I'm trying to get into the groove and knock out some projects so you'll probably see those before you see any food. Engagements keep mounting and distracting me. I've also been doing quite a bit of reading.
Right now, Michael Pollan's "In Defense of Food." If you enjoy nonfiction and you're interested in the history of the Western Diet and how it has contributed to America's demise, check it out. It's a quick and interesting read.I've agreed to participate in the Blue Dome Festival in Tulsa with one of my friends from art school. I look forward to it but there is plenty to work on between now and May 14. While I hope to get started this weekend I do plan on taking a few day trips or maybe a long camping trip for inspiration. I could use some discipline and creative juice. I'm sorry this post is a little disorganized but that only represents how scatterbrained I am. If you have some to spare, send me some good vibes, good karma, and motivation.
Hope you get to create very soon!~ And have a great time at BlueDome! It should be fun :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I can really use the encouragement.
ReplyDeleteSo what are you doing with your time off? Is San Angelo on your agenda by chance??

By the way... I just realized I haven't emailed you! Forgive me. I will try and knock one out tomorrow!
Casie, I'm not sure. I'm torn between Angelo, my grandparents/Mexico and Eureka Springs. I just don't know. We'll see! Shoot me an email!
