Studio Progress

I haven't been posting any art lately and I'm sorry. Mostly, I apologize to myself for being so unmotivated. I just can't sit down until I get my head on straight. I'm so focused on other things. Tulsa, money, a job my current residence, along with a plethora of other things. It's pretty ridiculous. At least I'm not starving and jobless, right? Ok, enough 'woe is me.'

Despite my lack of post, I have begun several new projects. My studio is a mess. I plan on having a garage sale of sorts very soon. I just can't move everything. I'll be downsizing by roughly two thirds (unless I find a genie) so I have to give it up. I'm excited. I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to purge. It feels wrong since I'll be entering an art program and I will potentially use the resources but what doesn't kill me will make me more ingenious. New challenges!

Right now, my plate is full: I have several pieces in the making. Mostly, water color/mixed media. I whipped this up my uncle Roger. Him and wife, Bernice were on a short visit from Reno. I decided to give them a run down on all thing Okie. Some of them good some iffy but no matter the ills, Oklahoma is for lovers! Guests of honor! Roger is runs an antique store out in Reno. He's quite knowledgeable on junk/relics/treasure and is able to decipher everything in between. A real character. He and my dad could chat for hours (at least until the camera haunts). Roger is really my dad's uncle (my gramps' little brother). I know it's strange coming from a girl of my age, but, I just adore my family. Sometimes, they drive me to a drink (or two) but in the end, I grew up right. I'm indebted to these folks. Especially my grandpa. He's the guy that traipsed into my elementary school and warned them that I had ideas of my own and they'd be sorry if they tried to change me. Looking back, it may not have been the best move but at least they still appear to love the monster they've created/supported. Love you, TONS!

  1. I ♥ your family and I can't wait to see everyone in July!

P.S. I still can't get over how grown up Carmen is. I guess that means we are getting old.
