Investment and Disappointment

That's what I'm dealing with this evening. I will just have to get used to it, it's a learning/growing experience and I've signed up for it...grad school. Last weekend I decided to work on the shade for the living room window. I primed and painted the canvas Sunday and tonight I taped off a pattern and painted it. It was a bust! I've concluded painters tape on anything but smooth sheet rock is not a good idea. I also place blame on cheap, old paint I found in my garage. What can I say? It was the right color. Have a look-see: Can you tell I worked clockwise and started to burn out at about 7 o'clock? It's barable from a distance, but the edges are pretty brutal. I'm not a happy camper. I haven't found an answer yet but I'm thinking about "white-washing" the entire thing. I've been on a white-washing kick for awhile, I think it's because it's 'safe.' I should branch out. By the way here's how much waste was involved, about 4 hours and $7.99: Don't worry. It's not over yet. I'm determined to 'make it work!' It's quits for the day, g'night!
